4 days have passed and the only sign of recovery is a lit LCD screen no display or sound though. do you guys know any place that can fix this sort of thing or any tips on how it may work again?

has this happened to anybody? did your ipod ever work again?

i got some staticy noise from the earphones when i put them into the ipod. its not the earphones

once you give up on other options, there is a crazy sounding last resort to try; Get it wet again, but this time use distilled water. it will undo a lot of the damage normal water (esp. soapy water) does, then dry it by keeping it in a warm, but not hot, place for a while. if your lucky it will work again, but be sure its competely dry befor you turn it back on.

Well you broke an ipod congrats. Just kidding. But if you have have the warranty, send it to apple and they can fix it. Otherwise try a computer store, or see if any friends know anything about ipods. Other then that you mise well let it die and get a new one.

If you did't put it through th dryer then you have a chance that it might work. Since the static electricity would have fried the circiuts in the nano. Just put it out in the sun and hopefully it would get back to normal. But since yo turned it on before it totally dried. I doubt it you will get the full function back in it.

Sorry, but iPods are simply not designed to withstand that sort of violent, sudsy immersion. It will have to be taken apart, cleaned, dried, and rebuilt, but chances are the delicate electronics have been ruined.

LIVE with it, feel bad for wasteing ur money on an ipod, and buy something better.....o and remember not to wash this one.

leave it in the sun so the water can dry out but not to much that ill burn
