I have never had a heavy period. With mee, ever since I first started my period, the first day would be light, the second day would be heavy, and then things would wind down. I never had a period which lasted longer than four days.

While this pattern never varied until I hit my 40s--now they are getting lighter and lighter, some months I would have the most horrible cramps imaginable, and other months not a single one.

Soo..I would say yes, things can change from month to month.

Congrats on the baby.

that happens to a lot of people. it isn't always the same. last month i had a heavy flow too, but this month it was pretty regular. and since u became pregnant then it could just have been some spotting or break through bleeding. not really a period. depending on how light it was. sometimes you get spotty for a day or so. but its not a period.

I'm on the pill so my periods are very regular and light, and don't last for very long. I did have one period a few months ago that started early, lasted much longer and was much heavier, but that might have just been hormones doing something weird.

Mine are generally the same. Heavy the first or second day with cramping, then no big deal for the other 4 or 5.

Mine are always very consistent. Five days starting on the 10th, first day is heavy and kind of crampy, rest are no big deal.
