STAY CALM!!! That's the best thing you can do. don't spaz out, or try to act all superior. Act as normally as possible. In my middle school, the sixth graders make virtually no contact with upper classmen, so it's possible you may not have to worry about everyone's worst nightmare: being shoved into a locker or trashcan by eighth graders. Good luck!

Well, you would want to do your best throughout any grade. Even though 6th grade isn't that important, do your best, because when you go to high school you will need recommendations from them. Don't start any trouble with others kids because it will go on your permanent record. I'm going to the 8th grade with honors. 6th grade isn't that hard. Just make sure you do all of your homework and past all of your test. Hope you do well. Good luck.

Well, just chill out and relax first of all. If you're nervous about it. It may seem hard at first, but it's not. You'll do fine. Just concentrate on the lessons. I'm sure you hear it all the time, but it's true. You'll see once you graduate. But yeah, no real "tips" other than just concentrating on the books, not the boys. There's plenty of time for that later. Or...concentrate on the boys, just the books more. lol
But good luck, hope you do great this year.

Be yourself :) 6th grade is the beginning of the Cliques(groups of people that don't include others for stupid reasons) Just stick with your friends, and never ignore/make fun of other people to feel better about yourself, cause if they were you, you would feel crummy Good Luck!!!

i've been through your position a few years ago. i was sorta nervous, but its nothing to really worry about. the only really things to get used to (the things that are different) are switching classes/different teachers, having locks on your lockers, more mature discussions in class, and a little bit more on your homework load. dont worry!!! its nothing to be scared of. i'm sure you'll do fine.

Just enjoy yourself and if your sixth grade is part of the middle school, don't let the older kids pick on you. You let it slide once and it'll always happen. I'm not encouraging violence, I'm encouraging standing up for yourself.
