With the mascara, use an eyelash curler to curl the lashes first. Pump the mascara a few times into the bottle to get rid of any excess and to prevent "tarantula eyes," then open your eyes wide and apply the mascara from the base to the tip. Don't use more than two coats on the top lashes and one coat on the bottom lashes.
For blush, do not use the little brushes that come with the blush itself. Buy a bigger brush, at least an inch in diameter. Dip the brush in the blush, blow off any excess. Then smile, and apply the blush along the apples of your cheeks (the part that sticks out the most).
For lip liner, it is best to follow the line of your lips, and don't go all the way out to the corners. If your lips are extremely thin, you can use it to make them look larger by just going slightly over the edge of your lip line, but I wouldn't attempt that until you are more familiar with it.

What problems are you having? Knowing would help us ans. you better.
*Mascara - wipe the wand off on a tissue before applying so you don't get clumps on your lashes. Turn the wand perpendicular to your lashes and sweep across, not up and down. If you get any on your eye lids, use a moistened Q tip (just lick it, really) to clean it off.
*Blush - swipe your brush across your cheek color, then tap the brush on the container a couple times and blow off excess. Find the highest part of your cheekbones with your fingertips and apply the blush there, go lightly. You can build the color up if you want more. You can also blend the edges of the color with your fingertips if it doesn't look natural.
If powdered color isn't working for you, try a cheek stain or cream color instead: http://tartecosmetics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=cheekstain&Category_Code=Ch
*Lip liner - Use a sharp pencil. Freeze your lip pencil for 15-30 mins before sharpening. Aplly a lip balm on your lips LIGHTLY to make application easier and then follow your natural lip line with the pencil.
Best,
G

Use a very light touch. For blush - smile, sweep color from the apple (Chubbier) part of your cheek out and slightly upwards, keep it VERY light. For lip liner, just go very slow. I don't use that, so that's about the only thing I can tell you. For mascara, bottom lids put your chin down towards your chest so you are looking up at the mirror and put it on lightly, then for your upper lids, put your head back so you are looking down to look at the mirror and put it on that way. Good Luck.

Well, as a Mary Kay Independant Beauty Consultant, I would like to share some insight with you. Please feel free to visit my website that has a demo as to how to apply your makeup according to "you". Such as if you have small, medium, or full lips. Now, I do recommend that you apply your blush from the apple of your cheek towards your ear, and back again. www.marykay.com/LindaBesst I hope this helps you.

mascara- apply it LAST, its a finishing touch, just swipe it up on ur lashes, i only use it on the top, but you can use it on both top and bottom.
blush- smile adn just kind of smooth it around on your cheeks with the brush until your cheeks are the desired color
lipliner-well, i dont use it, but i know to make it NATURAL if its like WOW look at her she is soo wearing lipliner, it looks BAD. everyone can see your lips so you should most likely just go for a nice gloss, and forget about lipliner truobles.
more q's? go to a professional at a cosmetics counter in a depatment store or mall!
