It means that you can't see far away. That is what I have. I'm beginning to think I may be far-sighted as well. Is that possible, or do I just need new glasses?

It means hings close up you have no problem seeing but things farther away you have a very difficult time with.

Your eyes are elongated. This condition causes the lens of your eye to be farther away from your retina, making it harder to focus far away...
Look up "myopia"...
