I'm 18 years old and I'm wondering if getting a fake I.D. that would make me 21 is worth the risk. Most likely I'd be using it to enter places that are 21 and older (clubs, bars, etc.) that friends might want to go to while I'm at college. Does anyone have any experience with them?

In my experience, you don't even need proof of age to get into a college dive bar. As far as fakes are concerned, it depends what state you're in...I know some states penalize you with suspension of your driver's license if your caught using a fake ID.

Not worth it. Besides, you are trying to grow up too fast. I know 21 seems like a long way off but it really isn't. Slow down a little. I was 21 eleven years ago. It was gone in a flash. Just be 18, stay away from bars and clubs. You're too young to know what you'd be getting into. Been there...done that. Wouldn't do it again.

Fake I.D.s are illegal, that is a Federal Offence to forge a federal document, and a felony charge. A felony charge not only will put you in prison but make it so after you will only be able to find crappy jobs the rest of your life. Now tell me if you think it's worth it. Yes I have had experience with them, not my own, but watching the cops arrest people with them.

No, It's not worth it.
If you get caught (and you will) you'll have to deal with the consequences later on. You can always find clubs or bars that allow 18 years olds.

No, they're not. They contribute to much larger problem, that is underage drinking. I don't know why you kids can't just wait until it's legal. You are trying to trick someone into letting you do something you can't legally do yet, and if you get into some trouble after-wards, who do you think is going to get blamed? The person who sold you liquor or let you into the club. You are going to get that person fired or arrested. Now do you think it would be worth it? There's a reason that underage kids aren't allowed to drink. It's called MATURITY. Obviously you don't have it, or you'd wait.

No, because if you get caught you will go to jail, don't do it, you will be 21 soon, it's not worth it.

Duh!! Don't be stupid. Yeah you might get into a club or something, but if and when you are caught it can mean major trouble for you and for the owner /bartender etc. of the club. Think about your character. Cheating and Lying aren't qualities you want.

No crime is worth the risk.
Be patient; you'll be legal soon enough.
