I am 25 and a godparent at a quinceanera next month. I have no idea what to wear. I live across the country from where the party will be and I don't have any idea what you wear to quinceaera's. All that I have been told is to buy an orange dress. Please help me!!! Please no rude comments!

You asked the right person because I just recently went to a Quinceanera and the godparent was wearing a dress., It was a long silver strapless dress. Still, you defiantly have to wear a dress to Quinceaneras. Wearing jeans is a no no. Especially if you are the godparents. Go to the mall or any big stores that sell clothing. Since you have to wear an orange dress this is probably to match with the Quinceaneras dress and her damas and chambelanes suits. So since ur wearing an orange dress you have to wear gold accessories. Find a gold purse and gold earring's. Also wear gold high heels but bring a pair of sandals because the high heels will tire you and you wont be able to dance unless you have sandals. Now for your earings wear then big and if you font like big earings wear gold hoops. Now for the dress it chould be long at the most though a little over the ankles. It should be a dress you like and feel comfortable in. Remember only wear a gold necklace if your dress if straples or has a a tangtop top.

Everything I've seen implies that men wear tuxedos and ladies wear formal dresses/gowns. I imagine, like weddings, it depends on the time of day. The girl celebrating her quinceanera usually has a court, like a bridal court, and you may be involved in that, hence them telling you what color to wear. Also, traditionally, the court wears and the party is decorated with the color of the birthstone of the girl.

they have a lot of dresses at davids bridal that arent necesarily for brides. i think you can find a great one in orange. keep it simple becuase that night the quincianera has to be over the top. if its strapless get a shawl if there is gonna be a mass. its rude to go to a religious service showing too much skin. make sure you have a pretty good idea as to what the weather will be like. hope i helped!
