I believe the factoid presented, I don't believe the Theory for the following reasons.
1. The wingnuts can't tell me what explosive was used.
2. The Wingnuts can't tell me where the charges were placed.
3. Cell phones do work on Aircraft
4. Aluminium does not hold up well against reinforced concrete, the Pentagon is contructed like a bunker.
5. Buidings leave a footprint when Demolished Engineering firms are used to do the math to create the footprint. A group of politicians do not have that kind of expertise, and if the Military was used, the explosives used would be traceable and the charges would be left behind. No Engineering firm, no evidence of the Charges. Just Theory

No, I don't think the government is capable of pulling something like that off and keeping it from blowing up in their faces.

But I will take a shot at explaining it.

It's like the Kennedy assassination. People have a need to believe that the President could only be killed by some kind of conspiracy involving the Mafia/CIA/Fidel Castro because there's no way the most powerful man on the planet can be killed by a single crazy gunman. After all, if the President could be killed by one guy all by himself, then who knows when we might be killed by some random act of violence.

Now switch to 911. People are thinking that we are the biggest and baddest country on the planet. How can we suffer a serious blow by a bunch of ugly guys carrying box cutters? It must be some kind of conspiracy where our own government allowed it to happen! Yeah, that's the ticket!

Some people just can't handle the reality of our world. Yes, you might just run into a crazy person one day and be in the wrong place at the wrong time. And yes, even the U.S. is vulnerable to attack. Whether it's called denial or just being stressed out over the uncertainty of life, I have no idea. All I know is that a lot of people out there are nuts.

I have heard that before. Perhaps it's a bit naive but I refuse to believe that the government would purposely, for any reason, create that kind of devastating attack. Even if I'm wrong at least I can feel safe.

No, I haven't heard that, but I did research it extensively myself. What I found was astonishing. There is proof that it was a planned attack and that the buildings were brought down by a controlled demolition. There are too many sites to mention that offer this proof, but the most amazing was the Loose Change series.

There is evidence that there was an F-16 that crashed into the pentagon.... this could be doctored pictures though. There is true evidence that the US FBI didn't take action before 911 about information that could have arrested the terrorists before they attacked

No I hadn't heard that, but when you scroll through these questions it is entirely feasible that so many Americans might believe such a thing instead of using their heads. What had the U.S. government to gain by murdering so many of it's own citizens in such a barbaric way? The whole idea is cretinous.

As long as there's war or conflict, there will be conspiracy theories. Don't buy into everything you read. The real question is, how much of the tragedy of 9/11 could have been avoided if our government had taken any of the previous warnings seriously?

Well, looks like people are finally starting to wake up to the truth out there. Hopefully it's not too little, too late, but I fear it is. Put the pieces together: Staged terrorism+Patriot Act+Homeland Security Bill+more staged terrorism=new world order fascist police state. Can it be stopped? I don't think so. Especially if people refuse to see reality, and continue to blindly trust our criminal government.

Have you heard that 49% of Americans believe that the US Government has found WMD in Iraq? Does that mean there were WMD in Iraq? No, it does not.
