There used to be dog heroes on T.V. that actually saved people's lives. Some still can save your life.
A cat is good when you may have rodent problems. Of course, you can hire an exterminator, but eventually he will exterminate you with that poison stuff he uses.
Then comes the bird, which is sensitive to problems in the air...something of growing concern given this scary new world we now live in.
Each has it's purpose. Only the best of care should be given, or else don't bother keeping a pet.

I have had all 3.
Now I have reptiles.
For a short time when I was a lid I had pet red ants. They were pretty interesting but not very pettable.
Of the 3 you listed I would probably go with e. dog and cat.

A dog. You can train them to do things, they give you unconditional love all the time, They cheer you up when you are down and are great companions.
You can not train a cat or a bird to do anything and they do not respond to you like any dog would. A dog will love you always and always be there for you. Man's best friend.

C. Bird less maintenance and you don't have to take them to a day care when you go otter town unless you would be gone for more than 4 days. Water consumption isn't as high so they want need fresh water every day

a. dog. They will come, sit, stay and do lots of tricks that other animals wouldn't even think about doing. They, in my oppinion, are also the best companions. Always showing that they love you.
