Actually, I have at times. I sometimes get the feeling I'm an observer and not the participant I am expected to be. But the really spooky thing is when that observation assists me in making decisions I need to make, and I get the feeling there is something to this "higher self" routine some psychics talk about. Also, I have read Tarot cards for over 30 years, and I think some of it is a spin-off from that exercise, especially when I read my own cards. That is, when I do a reading of myself.
Now that you mention it, perhaps it's time for me to do a reading again. I have mostly avoided it since Steve died. Not sure why.

My own reality is fine ... the angels in the trees ... the purple flowers ... the green rain, but occasionally I get distracted by a little thing called 'life'.
This 'life' is quite annoying as other people seem to insist that IT is reality. What do they know, eh? They're not invited to my marshmallow castle in the sky to smoke a fat one with the Buddha.

That's a great question! There are times I feel like my dreams are more real than when I become conscious in the morning. Sometimes in my dreams I'm both a participant & an observer, which makes for an interesting story.
