I'm so confused! I thought it was the LAST DAY of your period, not the FIRST you started counting from. So, what would be my fertile days if the first day of my last period was 07-24-2006?

10-14 days after the start of your last period ...
so the 10th day would be Wednesday August 2 and that would be through the 14th day, Sunday August 6th.
They already passed... but you can get pregnant any time!!

There is an online ovulation calculator where you can type in your last period start date
According to their site:
you're likely to be most fertile from Friday, August 4, 2006 to Wednesday, August 9, 2006. If you were to get pregnant during that time, your due date would be Monday, April 30, 2007.

OK. Menstral flow is the uterus shedding its lining which was prepared to establish a pregnancy. At the end of your flow, you are least fertile. Along about 10-14 days (depending on the length of your cycle you will begin to ovulate. At this point you are starting to become fertile. Two or three days later as the ovum makes its way down the fallopian tubes you are MOST fertile (about halfway through the cycle). This also happens to be when MOST women are most easily aroused.

Now, the wild card in all this is that sperm can survive in a woman's body for three or four days. This is why women who use the calendar or rhthym method are known by the technical term "mother".

It is 10-14 days after the start of your period. Counting the first sign/day of your period as day one.

You start counting from the FIRST day of your period - or the first day you start bleeding. So if you STARTED your period today (August 7) you would probably ovulate between August 17 and August 23.

This is for illustrational purposes only however. There is NO guarantee of this "rule," since it is possible to ovulate ANY time of the month - including during your period (while you're bleeding).

Neither. A girl probably ovulates about 2 weeks before the first day of her next period. That signifies that if you're irregular, you cannot just count days to find out when you are fertile. Essentially neither the date you bought this interval nor the date it ended tells you anything about when you are going to next ovulate.

Technically, it's the beginning of your period. (It's kind of hard to judge the last day.)

However, it's different with every woman. You can do a physical check on your fertile times; check the planned parenthood website under "birth control" for an explanation of the method.

Neither. A girl more often than not ovulates approximately two weeks BEFORE the primary day of her NEXT interval. That implies that if you're abnormal, you are not able to simply rely days to discover out whilst you're fertile. Basically neither the date you acquired this interval nor the date it ended tells you some thing approximately whilst you're going to subsequent ovulate.
