I THINK MEL GIBSON IS THE VICTIM OF A WITCH HUNT. SO A DRUNK HAD A PRIVATE CONVERSATION WITH A COP IN JAIL, WHY WAS THIS MADE PUBLIC? NOT ONLY DID THEY WANT TO ARREST HIM, THEY OBVIOUSLY WANTED TO DESTROY HIS REPUTATION.

I'd say no.

Let's take a look at the definition of the word:

"One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ. "

Since bigots do not constitute a group, religion, race, or politic per se, then the term doesn't work well.

On the other hand, it is true that being intolerant of other people's intolerance is a bit odd. People are how they are, and since nobody is perfect, making big out of someone else's problems is essentially hypocritical.

I think that a rational case can be made that the choice by the league of nations to create Israel in the way that it did was an extremely stupid idea; and, therefore, Zionism can be seen as supporting a bad idea.

There is little doubt that because of the way Israel was brought about, that this has cause many problems.

So, Mel might have some point here while not being anti-semitic: we'll never know.

No that just makes you prejudice against bigots. Everyone is prejudice to some extent if you take the word at its literal meaning.
