and the Israeli army "has" to kill those civilians in order to get to the terrorist militia and wipe them out, then what would we, the entire western civilization, have "bought" for all this innocent blood? World peace? A world without terrorists? I really wonder....
To explain myself a little better: If Israel is fighting a just war and protect the whole western civilization by fighting the Hezbollah and their hate against our way of life (in that case we HAVE to be on Israel's side, by the way), then many many more have to die for us to live a happy life, wouldn't they?
Can we honestly live with this? I don't think so.
So there has to be another way than war.
Because in the end we would see that NO ONE could really win anyway.

Unfortunately, bad people don't listen to diplomacy. It has been tried all throughout history and it has failed when the party you are trying to appease is bent on your destruction. The only other way would be for the Lebanese and other Arab people to stand up and take care of these scum bags.

Unfortunately, NATO has become impotent over the last few years. And we feel we have to force our way of life onto other countries. As long as there are multiple religions, war will continue in the world. Until there is a governing power that can handle the needs of all the nations, there will be war. Generally speaking, something catastrophic has to happen to open the eyes of the world. True harmony in the world, would come when everyone can agree that human life is the most important commodity we share. If only the bureaucrats and world leaders could open their minds to something so general and simple.

The truth of the matter is, that the Moslem's want their religion to be the only one in the world. So if all the people of the other religions don't fight then, they will have their way. Find an old history book from say 1920's to 1950's, the ones not Political correct and read about Mohamed. It may just wake you up to the fact, his followers wants the world at any cost.

As far as I know, Members of Hezbollah are also Citizen of Lebanon. Should we expect that all of them move to the city square and hold a large red blanket above their head so that Israelis Air force has a clear target, or do we give them the right that they try to stay alive? I don't like them, but that doesn't mean that they must be stupid.

So if I read your question correctly, what you're trying to say is that if it came down to you dying, or an "innocent" person dying for you to live....you would basically choose to die yourself, rather than see that "innocent" person killed? I would usually say something derogatory in any instance such as this, but if you don't mind dying so that some other person on the other side of the world that you've never met will live, than I guess thats your choice. I think its dumb, but oh well. I honestly can't abide the foolishness of some people who believe this, but who am I to judge. There are other alternatives to war, but only if BOTH sides want peace. When one side wants peace and one wants war, those on the side pf peace have 2 alternatives. Annhilate and utterly eliminate the threat of their enemies, or succumb, give in, and be destroyed themselves. You choose what you want. For myself, if its him or me, I ALWAYS choose me.

Israel is fighting for it's right to survive (to quote a bad movie). Hezbollah does not want Israel in the middle-east. If you think that you would not fight to the death for your home and your family, you're fooling yourself. It's easy to discuss it philosophically from hundreds of miles away. It's way different to be living in a country surrounded by enemies that want to completely obliterate your people.
