ok i have to say i love rosario playing mimi but i kind of like the obc joanne =] but i absolutely love adam pascal and jesse l. martin

I completely agree, Rosario Dawson is great, but Fredi Walker was a better Joanne.
I'm really glad they kept Taye Diggs and Anthony Rapp. I probably wouldn't have watched the movie if they'd replaced Mark.

I like the originall Broadway cast better. I love love love Daphne Rubin-Vega and I know she was really upset that she couldn't be in the movie - and so were all her fans. She is the TRUE movie. Unlike most of the other characters, who - in the workshop version of the show - started by being played by other actors, Mimi was the original Mimi from the start. The movie just isn't the same without her.
I also miss the people in smaller roles. Kristen Lee Kelly played Mark's mom in the stage version and she's brilliant. Aiko Nakasone played Alexi Darling and she was ten times better than Sarah Silverman.

I like the movie cast... which is bascially most of the original cast to the first broadway play.. except for rosario playing Mimi and tracy playing Joanne.. i love adam pascal too!

I prefer the original Broadway cast since I memorized the musical from that CD. Although, the movie cast is pretty much the original cast, with a few changes.

Jesse L. Martin is amazing, both on stage and in the movie. I still prefer the stage production...the movie fell a little flat.

Both of them are really good so it's hard to decide though I did like the movie it was well done.
