Oh boy. Been there, done that. Once the food source of my nasty neighbors moved out, the roaches moved in. Every day I came home, I'd nab two or three of them chowing on cat food. As has been suggested, contact your manager and ask for an exterminator to come out. If they won't, there are several things you can do below, in order of effectiveness:

1) Call an exterminator yourself. It's worth a few bucks out of your own pocket to be rid of the little skittering creeps.

2) Bait gel. The gel is the best thing I found to deal with them. You put it around the places where the roaches come it, usually pipes and outlets. Don't forget the dishwasher!

3) Homemade boric acid bait. You can buy bait traps, but they are pretty muc peanut butter and boric acid. So mix up some of your own, and put it under the sink, fridge, etc. I had one die while eating it! Face down in peanut butter. I couldn't have been more pleased. :)

Remember that just like ants are attracted to sugar, roaches are attracted to fats. Keep even the slightest spatter cleaned up around your stove and oven.

LOL @ four star roaches....but, seriously, I know roaches are no fun at all. Borac acid works well and there is also a tube of something from Combat I think that you put in cracks and crevices and it works really well. If you have the $$$ to spare, an exterminator would probably be your best bet. Good luck!

Actually, it's good they moved, now you can do something about the little places the bugs hide! Go to Wal Mart or the same and go to their garden dept. Buy Diazanon (sp?) and mix as directed. You can put it in a spray bottle, and it's milky white when it goes on. It will dry clear, and it stinks to high heaven while it's drying, but I promise you it works! You may have to do it again in 30 days to get the eggs that may have hatched, but that should be all you'll have to spray. My ex works for our local school district, and he used to exterminate for them and they used this stuff. If you have pets, keep them away until it dries (keep EVERYONE out until it dries, actually) and air the house when you are done, but it should do the trick! We used it at home twice, one month apart, and we never saw another roach the entire 5 years we lived in that old house! Good luck to you!

tell the roaches where they moved to, aparently they liekd them better than you, but sometimes they have to settle for the lesser of the two, and go get joes apartment, youll understand the brain of a roach alot better

If you rent, bomb the place-just remember to remove plants and pets. Have the place sprayed once, also. It isn't very expensive to do the once-over. If you own, well, do the same thing!

rub vix-vaporub all over the floor if it's wooden or carpet, but I wouldn't do this on linoleum or tile........whoops! That would be a quick way to sit down. (The bugs hate, HATE eucalyptus.)
