When she washes her face make sure she does it with 'warm' water to open up the pores. When she renses use 'cool' water to close them back up once their clean. If she has an oily T-zone then she needs to use a facial soap for oily skin, and the same applys if she is combination, or sensitive. She needs to wash her face 'at least twice' a day. Tell her not to scrub on her face that just aggrivates the skin and can cause more breakouts. Pat the face dry so as not to dry it out to bad. Use a dab of toothpaste at night on the larger more painful zits, and let it work overnight. Keep her hair off of her face, the products we use in our hair can clog pores. And tell her to keep her pillow case clean and keep her hands off of her face. 'Absolutley' NO sleeping with makeup on. When she at home and has no plans wash the makeup off to give the pores some air. Its hard to do but this is what keeps my breakouts to a minium. Good luck!

Ok, first she needs to stop doing anything to her face. It needs to heal....perhaps using Mederma to heal the scars. Then she needs to change her make-up. I would start using something like Bare Essentuals....it's a mineral make-up and it DOES make your skin better. I have Rosacea and it has cleared up my skin. I would tell her to use a mild cleanser and astringent so she doesn't aggravate her skin any further. Sometimes less is more when it comes to skin. If this doesn't work, then she needs to see a dermatologist.
