gymnastics and you need to be very limber.

You need a background in exercise. Couch potaotes are very good at it.

Not much, I took about 3 or 4 years of gymnastics, once a week, I could do it with spotting within the first year I think, however I was like 8 i think, and the reason it took me so long was because I had trouble with backwalkovers, but once you can do a backwalkover its very easy, try practicing on the couch OR with a spotter before going on your own on the ground. the most common mistake in these is not looking back and just kind of jumping back wards, so be sure to look back, good luck

I did gymnastics for 10 years. Of course gymnastics will help. But I have seen some breakdancers out there who teach themselves. Are you coordinated to begin with? or do you have two left feet?

None - I know lots of people who can do it - a lot of them learned it in kindergym (gymnastics for little kids)

you need to have enough upper body strength to carry yourself. you have to start lifting weights or something.
