Because it is too crowded in America and their is nothing left to discover...so they watch Television all day and are fed high fat , high sugar ads (and sex ads also) that create a hunger for fattening foods that are a substitute for all that is missing in their life. Americans should stop watching tele.

"Cholesterol-filled" people eat too much junk food that fills us with empty calories and cholesteral, and they don't exercise , (except in New York where they walk =). Moronic behavior comes mostly from 1.) An increasing amount of people who dont go to school or don't want to, and don't listen (i.e. dropouts etc.) 2.) People who are so TV and Game addicted that they take leisure for granted 3.) Those "beauty" magazines where everyone seems to be perfect when in fact, it's just computer reprogramng.
As for being depressed, sometimes people strive to be "perfect" and the "best" and when they realize it can't be done they start to get depressed. Depression is also a possible disease. Of course, if you are not one of those people, then give yourself a pat on the back. Anyways, that all came out of a ten year old's mind (I'm using my dad's account to answer questions) so I hope you found this helpful!

Alot of it is due to image rather than reality atleast for the moronic and depressed, we are the nation with the most press associated with us more people in the spotlight == bound to have some idiot on T.V. or in a newspaper, including many a politician. Even so there are plenty of smart happy people in the U.S. there are just so many people alot of the smart happy skinny people are outweighed...in more than one way... by the obese depressed dimwits Cholesterol-filled is fast food, and the fact that people seem to like to eat alot over here.

I'm not sure, and I've always been confused by it. I've lived in America my whole life (in the most moronic, cholesterol-filled, and depressed region, the southeast), and yet I've somehow managed to end up intelligent, free of dietary cholesterol (vegan), and happy all the time.
I wish I knew what made me different, because I'd like to help the people around me out.

I have no idea. Being a moronic depressed American myself, I can not even possibly answer your question, but I agree with you. I'm not cholesterol filled but I still agree with you on that too... since most of my family is overweight except for like 3 people. I'm moving.

Because we love T.V., Video games, Mc Donalds, and the right to live free, and the right to the pursuit of happiness!! Woo Hoo!!! Since we don't have to keep ourselves in check as much as other countries, it's kinda like the kid with too lenient parents. If you don't know what is expected, and what the limitations are, you don't feel loved or cared about... and that can be very depressing.

You must inhabit an insane asylum, or work at a fast food joint.
Get out a little more. See the real America. It's filled with intelligent, healthy, happy people.
I for one would be happy to bash your foreign little face in. By the way, you mispelled moronic, you imbecile.

Well, it's moronic, not moronic. Maybe that has something to do with it.
The fast-paced, hectic life-style has a lot to do with it. And, Americans want everything right away- no patience. It's an instant society. Instant gratification.

We're not all moronic, cholesterol-filled depressive-types. Learn how to spell moronic before you accuse someone else of being as such.

Just because we're the greatest and you're not, doesn't mean you can be all jealous and hate on us...
But, to answer your question; mostly putting up with MORONS like you we get depressed and then feel better when we eat.
