if youre asking this question i would say you definately need a roommate to survive there, and that might not be enough.

you say youre on a tight budget i wouldnt even advise you to make this choice.

but, if youre young you might as well do things you want now in your life while you still can

So if youre still stuck on living in california then yeah you might need more than 1 roommate, cost of living is outrageous.

think 1000 a month just on rent and thats with a roommate!!

On a very tight budget.....get a roommate. Not only can you split the bills & groceries, but you'll have someone to go around with & talk to in a new town.

depends on where you want to live in california. in bay area, beach areas and large cities you'll most likely need a roomate since the cost of living is very high. you could also rent a room. if you live inland, like central CA, you may be able to afford to live alone.

A roommate would share the costs. But you need someone that you know will definitely pay their share and preferably someone you know. Some roommates can be headaches. So make sure you get to know your roommate(interview them about cleanliness and etc).

Get a roommate. If you can't room with someone that you know, definitely go through a service so that you can more easily screen for psychos.
