From what I know, an employer cannot take any monies away from an employee unless it is in writing that lunch expences are to be paid back. Did your life partner see anything in the contract?

Well, if that was something they agreed upon of the time hire...then technically no......but really an employer can re-neg just about anything that has to do with a "perk". And if you don't like then find another job sort of thing. So to answer your question unless if it was written down as part of the job and it's writing meaning a contract then no not really, but good luck trying to prove something like that in court or to the Labor Board.

I don't think that that's very fair. The money should be taken out of the regular check, not the account that they use for meals. Your "life partner" should see the boss about this problem, and ask to take the money out of a different place.
Hope I helped!

you do not say how lengthy you've worked there and if this has continuously been the status que. I worked for a employer that required an outstanding style of shuttle and they provided me with a employer mastercard for organisation expenditures and my in preserving with diem. sometimes i could have out of pocket expenditures that they could disguise upon my filling out an cost record and filing all receipts. i wager i'm suggesting you communicate with administration and note even if it truly is attainable for them to provide you with a approach to disguise organisation expenditures, a mastercard or money strengthen. you're in result financing their expenditures and deferring price for them. even if you had sufficient money to disguise all of your expenditures and pay for his or her expenditures you're nonetheless dropping interest income on that money. even as chatting with them attempt no longer to communicate about the way it truly is arising a economic worry for you as they are going to imagine you won't be able to take care of money, even as actually evidently they are taking benefit. keep on with the very incontrovertible fact that they are their organisation expenditures and they could probably take advantage of scheduled price to the cardboard employer and strengthen their record preserving as they are getting reproduction information to substantiate expenditures. reliable success consisting of your difficulty.
