Slip N' Slides were the ultimate summer cool off trick if you didn't have a pool. Only probably is you could never get enough water on it to make it slippery enough to slide on. My friends would try everything from Watermelon Juice (too sticky), Suntanning Oil (by the time we applied we were ready to tan not slide), and even an old bottle of body wash (after hot summer days we would get clean but not slippery). So no matter how complicated it got and how entertaining it was to try, i still set it up for the younger kids in my family, on a hill, overfill it with water, and have a guy cousin hurl them down it. It gets so many giggles you can't even the rubber burn.

As a kid yes, as an adult, yes. I'm 27 and we're having a giant Slip N' Slide party for my friend's going away party. It's huge. A bunch of tarps put together going down hill and I can't wait.

My teenage uncle got one for Christmas when I was a kid and on his first go he broke his arm. Now I have a slip and slide phobia.

I had one and they were awesome and sometimes you did get hurt, but as a kid you didn'rt really care, you just got up and went for more. I actually made one for my niece, I took a army style tarp and wet it down then put dish detergent on it, then held th hose for her and it worked wonderfully, I know it sounds redneck, but those things are hard to find.

yeah we had one. We had to use it on the concrete and my friend cut her heel open trying to slide on it. Those were the good old days!

Yeah I remember. Now they sell them in the dollar store for about $20.00, when they first came out they were about $60.00.
