What do you consider obese? Because I'm not thin and by no means am I lazy or sloppy. I take pride in looking very nice. I have a hard time losing weight so I at least make sure I don't gain anymore.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder sweetie. I think heavy women are sexy. My ex weighed 320 pounds at one point. I loved her and still thought she was beautiful. She now weighs 160 and we are divorced. She was a lot prettier and a lot sweeter woman before she lost all her weight and became God's gift to man, the reason we divorced. Weight is just a number don't let it bother you!

Because they were beautiful and voluptuous. They wore appropriate clothing that enhanced their beauty instead of trying to squeeze into a pair of stretch pants and crop top. And only obese people are fat, sloppy and lazy.

Taste change.
In the 1930's, Mae West was hot in her day. By todays standards, not so much. I would tell you there are many fans off big girls. Many popluar models like Milena Velba, Nadine Jansen & Kate Donovan have a huge following. Magazines like Voluptuous & XL show off the beauty & erotic side of Larger ladies.

In many cultures throughout history, having excess body weight signified prosperity--so if a man had a large wife, it was a sign of his status as a good provider.

Also largeness in women was valued as an indication that the woman was able to carry and give birth (and feed through lactation) man children.

There are many large women who are beautiful and hard working, even fit...but we we struggle with a media image of perfection that suggests that the ideal feminine form is adolescent and anorexic. Real women come in a range of sizes and beauty comes in many flavors as well!

It's because years ago people were normal and knew what a good woman looked like! I don't know what happened to change things, but today, you have to look like a stick figure to be considered attractive.

I think women look best when they have curves, but not too many curves...and in the right places...hips, breasts and face.

It's really sad that society is now telling us that average-size women are "fat" and not attractive.

It is the degree of 'heaviness'. 25 pounds overweight can be curvy, 125 pounds overweight is grotesque.
