Msn Messenger?

I have a problem... The voice chat is not working in the MSN messenger!... the other person can hear me but i can't hear them... plus there is a red "X" sign on the speaker of the other person on the window ? what can i do to solve the problem !

Go to your Sounds in Control Panel and make sure you have the microphone activated and sound volume up on Record and/or Play function using your sound card. This is what your friend on the other end should do. Is he/she sure that he/she has a microphone?

The problem is on the other person's computer..Have them check their mic and volume settings
