Pee standing up?

2006-08-07 12:45:59 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 1

Fly. Most of the female firefly do not have wings (does that make them firewalk, then?)
However, some female firefly of a given spiece will flash the code of a different spiece, and will eat any male that comes to check them out; so this is one thing that (some) female firefly can do that male can't.

Photinus males fly in search of females. Photinus females generally do not fly, but give a flash response to males of their own species

Fly. The males fly around and flash, and the female on the ground flashes back to the one she likes. Firelfies can glow from birth, by the way; even the eggs glow. That's why the larvae are called glowworms.
