I don't go crazy about actors, but I am loyal to this great late actor. Just curious how many of you are fans of the legend.

I like Joaquin Phoenix too but I think as actors they are very different kind of actors, both admirable definitely.

i love him..he was such an awesome actor and he died way too soon..running on empty, my own private idaho, and stand by me displayed his incredible range

My daughter was a huge fan of River Phoenix. I like watching his old movies alot, especially Mesquito Coast with Harrison Ford. I have a picture book of him that I look at occasionally. My daughter had a special frame with a music box attached that she kept his picture in for a long time. Someone stole it, and she cried. And when he died, she cried even more. I really like his brother Juaquin Phoenix, too.

He did a great job in Stand by Me--the scene where he tells about how he stole the milk money and couldn't believe a teacher would betray him is fantastic.
