there is a site out there where the guy shows you how to slim down your installation of XP, so that it takes up much less room on your hard drive and it also takes less memory when it loads up into memory.

He shows you how to get rid of all kinds of extra fonts and other files that you never use, and you can save a lot of space, etc.

Can't remember his site but I'll try to find it for ya. His nickname is "Bold" and you can probably find his instructions online by googling "slimming down XP"

Do a disk cleanup, delete any unused programs or factory freeware that are unimportant to you. Delete temporary internet files. Control Panel, internet options, general tab. Clean out the recycle bin. Do a "Defrag". And you could also install another HDD as a "Slave".

buy a new hard drive. If it's just for storage, get an external. Otherwise, go internal. You can get higher capacities at a relatively low price.

You can add a second hard drive to most systems. Here is a good tutorial for systems that are a couple of years old. http://www.mysuperpc.com/hdu/jumper_pins.shtml
