and the Israeli army "has" to kill those civilians in order to get to the terrorist militia and wipe them out, then what would we, the entire western civilization, have "bought" for all this innocent blood? World peace? A world without terrorists? I really wonder....

To explain myself a little better: If Israel is fighting a just war and protect the whole western civilization by fighting the Hezbollah and their hate against our way of life (in that case we HAVE to be on Israel's side, by the way), then many many more have to die for us to live a happy life, wouldn't they?

Can we honestly live with this? I don't think so.

So there has to be another way than war.
Because in the end we would see that NO ONE could really win anyway.

How do you reason with the unreasonable?
How to attribute value to something when those you are dealing view it as having no value?
How do you buy off people who will come back and threaten you again?

Unfortunately when Israel handed the land over for peace the terrorist took is as a sign of weakness .
Saying blatantly that they had won and were going to push them into the sea.
The terrorists did not even break the peace treaty they had no intention of keeping it.
The only way to get the message across with this type of person is to fight for one's survival which is what they are doing.
Put yourself in that situation and think for a moment how you would like it to be handled.
Most people do not like war but if it means being able to be free and be at peace in ones country it becomes necessary.
Unfortunately lives are lost but in the process lives are set free.

Get the fact straight. Hezbollah does not cross the border to snatch up an Israeli soldier simply out of ideological hatred, every move has a political purpose. In this case, the primary purpose is to shift international and U.S. pressure, in particular, from their focus on Iran on the issue of nuclear weapon.

Do you guys actually believe a relative small size of Hezbollah militia has any chance fighting against Israeli army in a large scale, prolonged war? The current fighting simply draws the attention of Department of State to this matter. Have you seen any television coverage on Iranian issue lately? Needless to say, Hezbollah is doing a very fine job in achieving this objective.

When are people going to understand that peace only comes as a result of war.

Barry Goldwater, in his 1964 speech accepting the Republican Party's nomination to run for president, responded to repeated accusations of "extremism" as follows: "I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!" (Amen!)
