Do you believe in Banshees? I think I saw and heard one...?

That voice... that scream... it was beyond horrifying.

I live in a quaint little town very close to the ocean, hence the howls of the sea can be heard clearly. One night, I was awoken by a fog horn. Its eerie sound seemed to be calling for me. As I got off my bed and approached the window to shut it, I heard a spine-chilling shriek. I looked through the blinds of the window and noticed something through the miasma of fog. A female figure. It had tangly blonde hair. It wore unholy Banshee attire, vaguely resembling a bath robe worn over a tank top and undergarments. It carried an intricate needle-like syringe. It was ornately decorated and etched with lines and numbers. This Banshee screeched again. I covered my ears. It took the Banshee venom needle and injected it into her arm. Her screeches now sounded maniacally pleasurable. What was she injecting herself with? What unholy Banshee concoction was contained in that Banshee relic? She staggered away into the docks and disappeared.

Please enlighten me as to what type of Banshee was she? Why is this Banshee visiting my town? Please help me!

I do believe in the Beansidhe (commonly called Banshees).
However, what you are describing does not sound quite
like one to me. Besides, unless you have Sidhe Blood,
either you or someone in your family would likely have died
had it been a real one.
It sounds to me as though you may have had an encounter
with a very derranged spirit, probably a former drug addict.
If she hasn't come back, count yourself lucky.
Perhaps you should do some protections on your home
so you won't be disturbed by such beings again...

Can't say for certain...don't think Banshees are really a big phenomenon in the US--don't have the centuries of Irish pain to build on like the mother country. I also thought they kinda hearkened back to the time before syringes, but who am I to say?

According to Irish lore, the Banshee attaches herself to a family, and wails to warn that family of an impending death. Banshees do not, however, use drugs. They are not human creatures. They are part of the faerie lore. I have the feeling that what you experienced was because of another kind of drug, perhaps even a bit illegal?

could be coy dogs if you are serious, they sound like cackling witches... if this story was serious... it could be that you were just coming out of a deep sleep and there were a pack of coy dogs near your bedroom window or not very far off. they are spooky sounding when at first you hear them and are not sure what they are. but when you stop and listen, they could be mistaken for a banchees shrill cry, I suppose.... if you are pulling our leg, it was amusing anyway, if not, could have been the coys.
