If she knew you liked him and still went out with him without
checking with you first, she's not really a good friend of yours.
If she asked him out- instead of him asking her out- she's worth
dropping. I'd tell her that I was interested in him. Let him make
the first move towards you though.

This guy sounds pretty young and hopefully, he's not just into
having sex. Make sure when you go out, it's a date. Don't just
hang out with him and then have sex. That's sketchy.

I'd say that if you have liked him for 6 years, it's time to say
something about it. Start dropping hints. Touch his arm when
you talk with him. Brush away apiece of dirt from his nose when
you are talking with him...(even if there isn't one!!) My favorite:
give him a bite of your candybar and tell him next time you will
buy a whole one for him.

It's time you guys moved it up a notch. Good luck! Go slowly.

1st of all if your best friend new your liked the guy she should have respected you and not went out with him. Would your best friend freak out if you went out with him? that is the question you need to ask. I was best friends with my best friends boyfriend and when they broke up he wanted to go out with me she said it was ok then when I went out with him she changed her mind. It caused problems in our friendship. We are not friends today nor am I seeing the guy. It all depends on if you think the relationship with the guy is something you think will last. Was the relationship a bad break-up with your best friend. Will she be able to hang around you and the guy as a couple? If you and the guy want to make a go of it I would. But know the risk first.

P.S. I agree you should let the best friend know your decision that you make before actually doing it so it want be a shock.

Rule #1: Never go with your best friends old boyfriend.
Rule#2: If she intentionally went with him, knowing you liked him therefore this rule is null and void.
If she was your best friend she would have left him alone knowing you liked him. Secondly, she has no right being mad because she knew you liked him before she pounced. The question is do you want leftovers and will this hurt your friendship with her in any way? IS SHE REALLY YOUR FRIEND?

I say go for it but i think you should talk to ur best friend first. Most likely she would not care if u dated him cuz she broke up with him. If u know this dude likes u, u should ask him out before its too late so i say go for it. :)

Yes. Your friend was in the wrong for dating him when she knew you liked him and did not ask you if that was ok with you. Go for it.

Sit down with your friend and tell her how feel and see if its ok by her first. If she is a B about then you can still see him and you will find out if she is really your friend.

Yes you can, but get rid of your "best friend" for going out with him. She is no friend at all if she would do that to you.

I know deep down you know the answer to your question. I think you should be really honest with yourself. And then go for it... it that means being great friend or if that means more.

Your friend stabbed you in the back first, so I wouldn' worry about her feelings. If you love eachother than go for it.
