I've read it. Ridiculous. The man doesn't say that he knows this is what is happening for real. He names a military expert who says that might be what's happening. Said military expert remains anonymous. Not suprisingly this guy works for the Washinton Post. A newspaper that is very partisan. They should not be allowed to spread rumours such as this with absolutely no proof, because people who don't really watch the news take it as fact. Sad too. This kind of behavior loses votes for the Democrats.

Israel invaded Lebanon in 1973,1978,1982 and withdrew from Lebanon the year 2000 but kept occupying a certain area and kept holding prisoners of war.Hezbollah aim as a resistance is to free the prisoners and liberate the remaining land.those are the bases of the conflict. the best is to reach a political agreements on giving Lebanon its rights against maintaining a peace keeping force on the borders.
So far Israel did not achieve anything on the Lebanese front despite the killing of the civilians in air raids that is going on daily (1000 dead of which 3rd below 13yrs old) .actually till this moment they couldn't control any single village in the south of Lebanon and the deepest incursion is not more that 300m inside Lebanon territories.
the fact is that Israel cannot stop the missiles of Hezbollah they have to accept a fair agreement on ending the war.
as a conclusion it is not a PR issue instead it is an intelligence failure on estimating the true power of the Lebanese resistance.
