First of all, if you are a Jew, then yes a mixed marriage is a sin. Christ over-turned many of the old-testament teachings in the new testament. Infact, in order to be Jewish, your mother must be Jewish, or else you're not a real Jew. However, I think that in today's age mixed marriages should not be looked down upon, infact I think they should be encougared. Not only would mixed marriages help ease racial tensions all over the world, but also the more genetic variety an organism has (like a human child) the healthier that organism will be.

Nope, this is not a rational question. Hunney, unequally yoked means about believers and nonbelievers. In the Old Testament, that also REFERRED to religious belief. Foreigners polluted the Jewish Faith by still worshipping their Idol (hence the restriction against foreigners). God is a jealous God, and worshipping IDOLS was a sin. In the New Testament...it states..."What part shall light have with darkness" Paul STRONGLY discourages these types of "mixed marriages". It invites ALL kinds of problems having a divided household.

It would seem that the bible is stating that he didn't want anybody of the same race mixing, but they were different because of their region.... There were most likely many black people back then since the middle east is right on top of africa. Black people was most likely one of the people from different regions moses was referring to. I would say you can most likely defend a ban on interration marriage with the bible.
If you are going to take the OT seriously, you could defend lots of things with the bible, like slavery and killing your own children for instance.
Thank Goodness we are laws are NOT based on the bible but based on common sense *(most of the time, and we get better the more democratic and secular we become).
What is the yolk analogy a knee jerk reaction Christians have when the bible is accused of racism or something? You didn't even meantion that one! they seem brainwashed......

Well friends looks like Ive been a sinner for over 35 wonderful years, that's how long I have been married to my sweet ,perfect husband.....And we will continue to commit this so called sin till we no longer have the will to breath.I am "white" my husband is black (his preference as to what he likes to be referred to as )actually hes more of a beautiful caramel color, but I got side tracked lol .We have a relationship that people strive for but few will ever achieve ,he is kind, loving, intelligent,
handsome
and supportive ,and a wonderful father
to our 32 yr old lovely daughter.
How dare you even suggest that our
love and marriage is a sin.

blended race marriages aren't any further sinful see you later as both are christian. Romans says we are all one blood. I don;t sense age is called a situation till for sure a teen is in contact. God is for all and sundry, black or white. similar sex marriages are an abomination to the Lord so that they are sinful. it incredibly is only fact.

Now, my question to you:
Are you going into/in a mixed marriage?
If not, why is it your problem? If it's sin you're concerned about, then be glad that it's not your sin and go about your life. To interfere in the happiness of others so that you feel more righteous is hypocrisy

Hell no. Mixed race marriages aren't a sin. It depends why you're marrying them though. Actually, all marriages NOWADAYS ARE SCREWED UP. so why blame interracial marriages for being wrong?

No. If a christian and atheist get together that may be a problem, but not mixed races. This fool needs a hug.

you are nothing but a racist bigot. preaching hatred and intolerance is what is truly sinful! hate is neither a family nor a Christian value. it is only God's privilege to pass judgment, not yours! hateful people like yourself are the ones who will burn in hell.

you are an idiot. are you saying that god made a mistake when he created HUMANS of different color. I think not. why would he allow us to breed if he did not want us to be together.
stop projecting your opinions on what the bible says on anyone else. it means something different and special to other people.
