i need it for a project im doing i've got to real out loud, it would help and mean alot... thanks =)

The word is "asterisk" -- the ending is just like the word "risk".

Accent the first syllable and say:

A.SS-ter-risk

(The dot after the a is because Y!A won't display the word that it looks like otherwise!)

Well, I only pronounce it the English way - A$$-ter-ricks!

If you want it the French and original way, you'll have to ask on the France page in travel...!

I disagree with the above answers. It is pronounced
(As s) tehr eeks. The main stress is on the first ("as s")
