My friend works around medical chemicals and smells of the odors even after showering and changing clothes. It's a smell that will probably stay with him long after he leaves that job. He's a great guy who's respectful and sociable, but girls don't seem to respond to well to the chemical odor and lose interest. Everyone else at his workplace was already married or in a committed relationship after beginning to work there. He's worried he might be able to find someone long term b/c of the odor situation. Does anyone have any experience dealing with such a situation?

Sounds dangerous. If he smells like that can you imagine what it is doing ot his lungs???? I would go to my doctor and explain the situation I was in. I do know Charcoal absorbs odors. As far as his clothing smelling...try washing cloths in Gain and al;ways using bleach of some kind....color safe for the colors of course. If this is something in his skin, I would seriously conside a new job because smelling bad could be the least of his problems a couple years down the line. If it is his skin...he is absorbing these chemicals...NEVEr good.
