have a problem with the government of Israel, yes, and they are terrorizing everyone in the Middle-east, and provoking moderate Muslims with their tactics, which is their military and political plan. I am talking about the leadership of the Israeli government.

The citizens of the ******* State of Israel and the illegal settlers, are being used as pawns by the leadership of Israel, as are the Palestinian and Lebanese people being used by governmental leaders of all Nations of the Middle-east.

Hizbullah and Hamas are the same as Israeli forces carrying out military operations and providing protection for their people, remember, one person's terrorist is another person's freedom-fighter.

Hizbullah and Hamas also provide rebuilding and food, water, and school for their people .

Any group of people that are being oppressed and attacked will accept the assistance of people , even if those people are radical and violent, this has been going on since the beginning of time.

I am Irish and Italian, and I can tell you that throughout history, people of my heritage and background have allowed violent radicals to help them, and save them from outside oppressors, or their own governments.

As far as having a problem with Jews, I have no problem with any group of people practicing a certain religion, but, when their religious practices include condoning and teaching violence , I have a problem with that.

As for being accused of being anti-Semite, most Jews are not Semites. The definition of a Semite is: A member of a group of Semitic-speaking peoples of the Near East and northern Africa, including the Arabs, Arameans, Babylonians, Carthaginians, Ethiopians, Hebrews, and Phoenicians.

We would all agree that all three major religions ;Christianity, Judaism, and Islam ,allow violence and in fact ,endorse it.

The majority of American Christians are as guilty as the American Muslims and American Jews , in regards to condoning violence against people of other religions, and all three groups are wrong.

That is why I am a Pacifist . I do not condone violence for any reason at all.

The Jewish people are not a race, they are a group of mostly eastern Europeans , who moved to Palestine years ago, practicing a religion called Judaism.

2006-08-07 12:06:02 · update #2

There are many more people around the world who practice this religion and they are content to live away from Palestine, while still supporting the right of the Nation of Israel to exist.

They are wrong to demand this right because they can practice their religion anywhere in the world as many of them do, they do not need a "Homeland" to be Jewish, as I do not need a homeland to be Christian.

Should all Catholics move to the Vatican City and form an army and demand that the U.S.A. give them $ 5 billion a year to buy weapons of mass destruction, and drive Italian citizens out of Rome?

As in all wars and conflicts , the real enemies , or "bad guys", are the rich, powerful leaders of nations who cause all the suffering and start all the wars, and use religion and nationalism to get all of us the hate each other, and then they watch us kill each other in the name of god and country.

There's only a question mark in the title, and the title isn't really a question.

What's your question?

("Hizbullah and Hamas also provide rebuilding and food, water, and school for their people ." Yes, and that makes them true saints. Please note sarcasm.)

SO: let's get clear on a couple of things.
Was the Israeli response to two kidnapped soldiers proportional? Why not a prisoner exchange for the two Palestinians Hezbollah wanted? Because as Seymour Hersh exposed, the Israelis and the Bush administration have been discussing this operation for months, and the kidnapping was simply the excuse that was handy when they were ready to go. So the public given reason for the action, as usual for both the Likudites and the Bushies, was an out-and-out lie for public consumption.

But let's get to the real issue of Israeli security given the buildup of Hezbollah weapons caches and military capability. Was this growing capability a threat worth their effort to confront? Absolutely! Can it be confronted by attacking the Lebanese neighborhoods where the Hezbollah are driving around their trucks and launchers? Yes and no. Hezbollah will be resupplied in weeks. Hezbollah are just the leaves. The roots are in Tehran, and to an extent in Damascus. The IDF can't fight them all at once. They can't even get at the Iranians, and once Tehran has its own nukes, the Israeli nuclear advantage is gone.

Personally, all of the people I have met from the region have been wonderful people. I say let the Palestinians and Israelis all move here. We'd be much improved as a country for their presence.

I also have a proble by Zionist-controled state Israel !!

They are the Illuminatis, and they own you,
This is the New World Order, and it is your future if the world don't wake up :

And this is what Bush’s minions had to say in 2000;-
"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor"
Project for the New American Century (2000)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_for_the_New_American_Century

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
Hermann Göring(Nazi) 1946 Nuremberg Trials

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order."
David Rockefeller: Statement to the Untied Nations Business Council in September 1994

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with other around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." David Rockefellers memoirs (2002)

You see what you wish to see. Most rational people see different. A conflict that starts with soldiers being captured and carted over a border by radicals not associated with that government should have been delegated to the lebonese government, that is apparent. The problem was that the Lebenese government chose not to get involved, and its citizens paid for it.

What Hizbullah did was open a conflict between a state and a non-nation/state. Hizbullah's protection was the border. Imagine if you will, a little man who pulls on the legs of a giant, then runs into a house with 100 other little men, who claim neutrality. What is the giant to do? If the little man is not stopped, the giant will be brought to his knees with the constant assaults by the little man, and if he does something, like try to pick out the little man in the house of 100, then morons like yourself will get online and open debates about the validity of a conflict where the agressors were the underdogs. The strength of an agressor does not matter on the international scale.

Now if you would like to get into the funding for a group such as this, look at the other nieghbors. Iran and Seria. how cowardly is this, using the ploy of a terrorist organization to hide the actions of a state. Without Iran, without Seria, there is no Hizbullah.
And whether you recognize it or not, the former IRA was a terrorist organization too. And as horrid as it is, a good ammount of its funding came right out of Irish-American pockets, not something I am proud of. If a people, collectively, want freedom, if a people, collectively, want anything, then they need to be willing to go the corrent route to get it. Kidnapping soldiers and launching rockets is not that correct answer.

As always, ignorance is the fuel of tyranny. Spread knowledge, spread awareness, and suddenly there is no conflict or lead, only words.

Terrorizing everyone in the middle east by what breathing, raising families, becoming a democracy? Just how many Israeli suicide bombers have you read about. Did not God give Abraham the land of Canaan (present day Israel). Did God not lead Moses and his people to the promise land and he made the Israelites victorious. Did he not tell Israel to boot out all the edonmites ( present day Palestinians) from the promise land. Did God not say Love Israel and I will love you. Hate Israel and I will hate you

Of course, a lot of people feel the way you do. But can you really compare terrorists, like Hezbollah to Israel. I believe the Israelis want to live in peace with their neighbors but are always being put in a situation by government supoorted terror groups.

I do not what race the Jews are or what but I feel they have a claim to a land their ancestors once settled and they the right to exist their in peace and happiness.

If the terror groups you named will stop attacking those people in israel and let the Jews live, we will not have the problems that exist.
God bless you!

I don't like your language and tone, and your screed is way too long to read. Please take this as constructive criticism, however. There are many facts about Arab-Israel problems that Americans don't know -- the media never mention them. Edit down what you write, mention just a couple of your strongest points, argue those and you will be informing people and accomplishing your purpose at the same time.

rmmark above talks about Seymour Hersh's new article -- I recommend this to everyone because it explains a lot about why Israel invaded when it did and why the U.S. responded as it did. Here's the link:

In my many years of observation, I have yet to see Israel attack anyone. They have had to defend their country on several occasions but all the wars were brought to their doorstep. This last skirmish was provoked by the so called "defenders of Lebanon"...If they were defending, why would they attack another country??????Just to provoke what followed? This same attack has been consistant for more than 60 years..Why would a country be castigated for trying to protect its citizens..Why would the Palestinians not want peace? We all know that answer already. It is consistant throughout the middle east countries. I have a problem with terrorists!! No matter what they call themselves.

So if someone were to attempt to beat the living s**t out of you and your family, you would not fight back? There is no honor in that. That is one of the most stupid things I have ever heard. There is a time for violence and a time for peace. When a nation's freedom is at stake that is the time for violence if it is necessary to restore peace. Your freedom was purchased by violence. Do you enjoy your freedom or does it mean nothing to you? I am thankful that I have never had to use violence personally because those who are in a position to protect me with violence have been free to do so.

Without the military you could count the hours on one hand until America would be under communist control and we would all be slaves.

ANYONE who significantly disagrees with this statement is divorced from reality.

Each time when people (mostly those on TV) say that Israel is our only friend in the middle east i think of the time before Israel, when we haven't had any enemies in the middle east.

I think we have to rethink the situation from the ground up and sever our ties to this state; but the Bush family is indebted deeply to the Jews, because Prescott Bush was a henchman of the Nazi regime.
