There too many ways to think of using tinfoil. Generally in cooking, baking, food wrapping and many other kitchen related uses, for decoration and many more mentioned by many answerers. Another beneficial use of it is making a tin-foil hat which is believed to be effective in mental illnesses such as paranoid schizophrenia. The delusion of 'mind control rays' or other invasive mental activity may seem very real to those afflicted with severe paranoid delusions, and such persons have been known to make and wear improvised defences against the imagined invasion. A placebo effect of tin-foil hat can convince the sufferer that the device actually works.

So many good answers here- especially from Carl M. I guess I'm just too late.

Yeah right!

Other than making your cowtipping adventures more entertaining? How about-

In-house intercom, replacement fuses, recessed lamp deflection, switch hardwiring, electrocution sabotage, security/alarm bypass, wrapped around cardboard for a sun visor for your car, tablecloth, wads for baseball replacement, poke several tiny holes- cover flashlight- turns your living room into a planetarium, bracelets and other fine jewelry, wallpaper, float banners, stenciling....and basement bowling.

Better leave some for others.

I like to chew on it and get that delightful shocking feeling in the root of my teeth as I form a crude battery out of my teeth, fillings, saliva and tin foil.

I use it as a hat to keep the aliens from reading my thoughts.

I wrap it around the broken antennae on top of my TV on top of my broken TV in my trailer so that I can watch my stories.

The young 'uns like to play their Barbie and Star Wars and what not with it. It makes a good fake pool for the Barbies and the boys use it for space ships with the Jedi wars.

I like to wrap bits of wood I find with it, tie them to old dental floss and make windchimes.

It scares away the crows.

It scares away that one poor child that the neighbors say ain't quite right in the head which is kind of good as he's always digging up my flowers.

i changed into continuously taught that the brilliant area reflects the nice and cozy temperature. So once you're cooking, you want the nice and cozy temperature to bypass into the nutrients, no longer be contemplated away, so that you placed the foil over the dish brilliant area in. For the bottom of the oven you'll want the nice and cozy temperature contemplated decrease back up. even as it truly is what i changed into continuously taught, i'm certain that in case you picked the foil up consisting of your bare fingers after cooking it may sense both warm on each area! i have googled the difficulty and there appears an equivalent style of arguments backing both critiques.

I use him as a sounding board for my questions. Tinfoil can be used as a handy reference source. Well, that about wraps it up. Drats! foiled again.

ALL the above, but I can't believe that no one got this one yet:

When I was a kid, I would make the neatest, most comfortable braces for my teeth! I would roll the foil into little ropes and put the ropes on my teeth, MUCH more comfortable than paper clip braces!!!

hmmm.... wonder why my teeth didn't get any straighter?

My grandma used to make christmas stars for the tree.
And she smoked like a chimeny,I used the foil from her cigarrette packs to make a silver wallpaper in my room....that with posters of all kinds of rock an movie stars looked cool...or so I thought...
Took me a year to get enough foil to plaster all over the walls.lol
