WC (Wild Caught) Gray Tree Frogs or any species on that matter do not handle captivity well. It is a very high chance that it will die within a few days to a week from being captive.

CB (Captive Bred) reptiles are used to that type of living and have a very high chance of dying if in the wild. Both from being over stressed.

What do you mean by "aquire" ? Is it something you bought from a store or a friend which was bred, born, and raised in captivity? Or did you "acquire" it from your backyard?

If it was born captive, it should stay captive, because that is the only life it knows. If you caught it, let it go- wild animals don't thrive in cages.

If it was captive already and you keep it, do your research and make sure you're taking care of it properly.

Let the poor fellow go. Can I keep you as a pet if I acquire you?
I did not think so.
