I already made that choice--no, I don't live in a teepee, but I live in a great old Victorian house on a corner lot in a very small town, and I commute through beautiful hills and valleys to an even smaller town to work. If I wait for more than two cars at a stop sign, I wonder where all the traffic came from! I go to cities for concerts and vacations, but I like to come back home for the peace and quiet!

Teepee or not to teepee - is that the question?
tepee, teepee or tipi - that is the spelling (Chambers)
Given an ongoing decent income to enjoy my little luxuries in life - and occasional access to my best mates at the pub I'll vote for the teepee
If not it's back to the concrete jungle

You get views from a tower block that can be just as good as views of a mountain. So long as you are at the top of the tower block. I think I would like to spend my time 50-50. Summer in the tee pee, winter in the tower block.

Well, I think I would take the one that had room for a grand piano. And indoor plumbing. I see extra large teepees making a comback! With mountains for composing inspiration!

The tee pee would seem to be no contest. But we should stop and think of all the things we take for granted. Shops would be along way away. That's not taking into account the food we would have to hunt for!
What about sanitation? Would a hole in the ground really suffice? No hot running water...no COLD running water for that matter! We would have to trek to the nearest well to get our water and then heat it up on a fire.
What about washing your clothes? Waddya mean your mum does it for you! Not any more she doesn't...and not a washing machine in sight!
And what about those chilly evenings? I've heard that the central heating in them thar tee pees ain't nun too hot if you'll excuse the pun.
However, by means of escapism, I can always put my earphones on and listen to my Walkman, MP3 or whatever. That is till the batteries run out.
Oh well, only a six mile walk to the nearest trading station!

I used to live on the side of a mountain, used to sleep on a door and crap in a hole in the ground, i used to be awakened when the moon came up in the middle of the night. I was 20 years old and had no responsabilities, it was the south of spain, it was great.
To do this now would probably mean a massive life change for me, to live on the mountain in the tipi would be fine but how would i support myself, i'd probably end up doing similar to what i'm doing now, weighed down with responsabilities, having to support myself, kids etc. I think the danger would be that i'd end up missing the experience like i can do now, I would definately take myself with me. It would be nice to do a retreat in a tipi on the side of a mountain, it would be nice to be 20 again and carefree, oh dear, i think i'll go and live in a buddhist monestary when i'm older. Never could answer a question simply!

A fully insulated teepee, built to code with indoor plumbing and electricity, and in floor heating and a hottub. And a Walmart a block away.
