Are there any official island bum jobs going spare somewhere?

I wouldn't need much in the way of pay, perhaps the use of a boat, a nice hut of some kind, and some island girls to comb my beard and bathe me in coconut milk occasionally.

And I just have to say, that I can be any kinda island bum that's required. I can be the "gruff" island bum that scares the tourists and yells at small children. I can be the "drunk" island bum that is constantly sitting at the end of the local tiki bar making rude passes at anything in a grass skirt...or I can be the "weird" island bum that mysteriously shows up during island planning meetings to discuss his problems with crabs.

So I think I'm going to start a quest and try and find an island in need of my services.

Where I live, we have to use a lot of imported labor to staff the hotels and restaurants. The women come mostly from Russia, The Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, and The Czech Republic. There isn't a bow wow in the bunch. Stunning looks, intelligence, positive attitude.....these lovelies are a pleasure to do business with and pass the time of day.

When I grow up, I want to be the guy who goes over to eastern Europe to recruit (hey baby, wanna go to America?) heh heh

The skys the limit. Although I like my job now I'd like to be a personal assistant to some famous star. I don't want to be the star or the boss but I want the travel and glamour. Your questions are always good and require some thought to answer. If not that then I'd like to be a tempermental foul mouthed famous chef who punched reporters when they snapped my picture. The best part would be getting away with it. I'd like being press secratary for the President but I'd be fired in a week, right after they ask me about civilian deaths. I'd really like to be an author like Earnest Hemmingway travel and meet all kinds of interesting people. I'd like the last one best but I'd want to be interviewed by Larry King, wait I want Larry Kings job.

I'd be a writer. That's always been the dream job - this journalism lark is just a way to make a wage from words. The weird thing is I don't need someone to offer me the job, I just need to recapture the ability to do it long term, and, as my wife puts it, "get the hell out of my own way". Must start soon.

Acting (theater). It is totally intoxicating . It is very stressful but hugely rewarding. One of the best high I get/got. It makes you explore all kinds of sides of your personality by playing different roles and have to admit that the applause is great too when you deserve it. People in there are super cool too and take care of each other. Some roles can be very stressful to handle and you have to give it all.
In a way you open yourself totally but using another persona.
It can be very scary for some when not using method acting.

There are 2 jobs I would love to do. The first is missionary work. The second is nursing. I don't think they would necessarily be dream jobs but I think they would be so fulfilling and they are something God put on my heart to do many years ago and has never lifted from me. Maybe one day yet. If it is His will He will bring it to pass.

I think my dream job would be a personal shopper. I love to shop, I love to spend other people's money, I know quite a bit about most merchandise. Yes, if I could set my rate high enough, that is what I would LOVE to do.

I would be able to make enough money to live comfortably by running a greenhouse or a shop that sold live plants and unusual gifts. I love gardening and learning about new plants and ways of caring for them, and would love to be able to work in that industry or as a landscape consultant designing gardens.

If it had to be a job, I would like to do what Bill Leverton used to do "On the Arizona Road".

Otherwise retired and independently wealthy.
