I get their newsletters every week. Of course using a hot babe like David Boreanaz to do publicity for them turns me on. Seriously though, I spay or neuter my animals, bring them to the vet when shots are due or when they get sick. Feed them the right food, Give them lots of love. I even bought them a cat condo. What is so wrong with that????????? Why is caring for animals so wrong for some people on here. You whine enough about children who will end up being Ted Bundy's by the time they turn 18. The decline in morallity in humans tends to show they will raise hateful children. I know the kids in my neighborhood are vandels who broke my husband's jet ski and broke our window with a block of ice. Also the people who live behind us have five kids, start a fire in their yard drinking till all hours and their kids are right there watching them. Yeah good role models.

Thank you to the majority of the people who responded nicely to my question. It will be hard to pick out who gets the 10 points when all you nice people deserve them.

I do agree the extreamest are way too radical and I eat eggs and they are against it. That is over the line there but the normal people as you said are making a difference.

I agree. People make fun of PETA because they don't understand, they don't see how animals can feel pain and if they do then they don't want to accept it because of personal guilt perhaps. I am a member of PETA and during my sophomore year of high school I handed out flyers in my school for a protest I was conducting at the corner KFC in my neighborhood. No one came, there was a blizzard of snow and ice. I went anyway and ended up having a very nice time, told some people about the cruel things KFC does to their chicken, and felt very good-- even if I was alone out there and even if the majority of people made fun of me for this and called me names. I say rock on with PETA, babe! Don't listen to the dweebs out there that don't have heart or soul to other living creatures on this planet Earth.

I know that this has already been answered, but I felt like putting my voice in here too.
Yes, I care about animals, and I know that they can feel pain. Believe me, I know. But what PETA is interested in is not animal welfare- it's power. Did you know that they euthanize up to 90% of the animals they "rescue"? In 2011, PETA picked up 760 dogs, and they killed 713. That same year, they picked up 1,211 cats and 58 other companion animals. They killed 1,198 of the cats and 54 of the other animals. They attack Seaworld in particular, but ignore places like MarineLand in Canada. The animals there are treated horribly, and are often bleeding. Some of the sea lions' and dolphins' eyes there have permanently shut, indicating obvious damage. PETA often tries to alienate people who eat meat. (They do know that animals eat meat, right?) I understand theway so many animals are treated before being consumed, and it sickens me. Companies like Tyson do this often. But not all companies are like that. It is possible to find places and people that sell meat to be consumed that were treated well. Your best bet is to go to a local, small-business market, or somewhere like Whole Foods. PETA also tries to make anyone who doesn't support them look like an animal abuser. NOT true. I want you to look at the links below, and then tell me if you still support this company.

Caring for animals is fine - I am an animal lover - but PETA has its own secret agenda. Ask then to prove where all the money they collect has gone in the last decade. They have filled paperwork with the USA IRS that shows they have given money directly or indirectly to many questionable people including eco-terrorists.
Google them & you will be surprised at what you find on the non-PETA affiliation sites have to say.

Someone has to shout loud to break the silence of the lambs. PETA is doing great for animals. Remember if you ask for a dollar you get a cent. So that's the logic, if they don't go to extremes, how they are going to attract attention, like those MNC commercial like Nike 'Just do it' or coca cola do there campaignings. They are speaking for those millions of speechless animals, so the voice has to be very loud & clear for awaking the stone hearted mankind to step forward & listen to the animals SOS.

People acting like a.ssholes is not a reason to go acting like an a.sshole. Those PETA people ruin expensive property because they think killing animals is bad. Well, mankind has survived by eating the flesh of animals for thousands of years and frankly, it tastes good!!! it also has kept us warm and it doesn't cause nasty pollution the way synthetics do. On the other hand the lab testing on animals makes my skin crawl, torture in the name of science is still torture. Peaceful change is the way to do things though.

Mostly because it's just a lot of fun to taunt you people because you take it like such babies. If you'd just lighten up a little you wouldn't catch half the crap you do. For us, it's really not about the animals, it's about YOU.

No, being a member of PETA is not a bad thing. I think PETA has just made a bad name for itself because of some of the ways it tries to fix the problems of animals. I think that if more people were educated on what PETA really stands for there would not be so much opposition.
