If she refuses to meet you half way and you have a court order then all you can do is take her back to court for contempt. In the meantime instead of driving 20 hours a weekend to see her make arrangements to find a cheap hotel and go there to spend time with your daughter. No parent has the right to make it hard on the other parent to see a child so fight to get the rights you deserve.

It depends on what your agreement says. most states have laws regarding parents taking their children out of the state. It will also depend on the reason she has left the state (ie for her job is more reasonable than she likes the weather in Florida) My advise would be to hire a good lawyer, and make the 5 hour drive every other weekend. If you don't it won't look good for you in court.

I'm afraid you are screwed..most papers say the non custodial will make arrangements. My arrangement meant making the 12 hr round trip. There are no GOOD lawyers. Move in next door to her and if she bugs out again...you might have a case.

You will need to retain a lawyer where she is living. As for who pays for the trips, ususally it is paid by BOTH of you.

I disagree about no good lawyers, i talked to my lawyer on thursday , she was served on Sunday and i walked out of court on wed with custody of my 3yr old daughter :)

IT WASNT CHEAP THOUGH !!

go pick her up and then when the kid is already at your house tell her she has to come get her because you drove all the way to get her so she can drive all the way to get her.
