do not trade LJ unless you're getting:

A) Shaun Alexander or LT in return
B) 2 top-ten backs

If you accept anything else, you're fooling yourself.

It's simple numbers:

Trade a #1 (in this case a top 2 pick) pick for a #2 (Smith), #5/6 (Shockey), and a #8/9 (Rackers) just doesn't add up.

Look at this guy's team when he's done. He must already be sitting on another 1st round back (Steven Jackson, Rudi Johnson) - you need to at least get that back at a minimum.

For a top 3 pick like this, you need to get the other guys #1 and #2 pick. Putting the players aside, if I offered you - before the draft - my #2, 6, & 8 picks for the #1 overall (and you must be sending two other players you haven't told us), would you do it?

Of course not - so don't do this either.

I would say yes to this trade. Larry Johnson might had a great season last year, but this year, he's not guaranteed to do the same. Teams will cover him more and he may have his work cut out for him. If you have two other great running back, trade. If you got two great running back, you probably didn't do too good on the TE and WR.
The downside of this trade is that steve smith will be covered more and his quarterback got another target, Keyshawn Johnson. J. Shockey will probably bring in as much or more points than last year. N. Racker is just a tag along.
This question really depends on your current roster. Do you need the TE and WR. I have L. Johnson on my team and I have Kevin Jones. I know Jones can bring in some number and I didn't get a lot of great WR and TE. So in my case, I would have said yes to this case. It all depends on your supply of RB and your needs.

It depends on who your other running backs are. If you have 2 other good running backs or at least one good and one serviceable one and need help at receiver and tight end, then go for it. You should, however, make sure that the guy you're trading with won't end up with an unbeatable team because of the trade. Smith and Shockey should be pretty good this year... Larry Johnson did lose his lead blocker in Willie Roaf... Neil Rackers won't be better than average at best this year. The reason he was so money last year was because his team didn't have a running game at all so they were easy to stop in the red zone... basically, Rackers is of no consequence in the trade... just figure out who is more valuable to you... do you need a RB more or a WR+TE?

If you make a trade that involves accepting a kicker, I should be able to drop kick your sack. If a freakin kicker even remotely peaks your interest, I would like to invite you to my league. You are considering a trade in which you would have to drop 2 players to accept Shockey & Rackers.

1st off, I can't believe someone would think that trade would actually fly, and 2ndly, I cant fathom someone might even ponder that trade. I would have instantly rejected that trade and publicly ridiculed the one that offered it.

No way! LJ is the best player in FF. Smith is good and I like Shockey, but you need at least a RB in return. Rackers will not be the highest scoring kicker this year. Turn it down and you will thank me later!

Don't get rid of Johnson unless you have Alexander, Tomlinson or James to back him up, he's way too valuable.

You have to keep Johnson. He can almost single handedly win games for you.
