radio kaos
and
pro's and cons of hitch hiking are my favourites
Amused to Death is also good
I like the line...
as the orchestra fled, the pianist still lingers
till
the piano lid came down and smashed his f*ckin fingers
It's a miracle

Waters gets a little too self-indulgent when he's not grounded by a group. "The Final Cut" which was officially a Pink Floyd release, was essentially a Waters solo album. He had fired Richard Wright and Gilmore was too tired to fight him anymore. The album had the feel of a Roger Waters solo album with some tasty David Gilmore guitar thrown in for good measure.
Pink Floyd is an excellent example of the phrase "the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts". Neither Waters nor Gilmore have done anything separately that is even remotely comparable to what they did together (including "The Division Bell" and "A Momentary Lapse of Reason").

Radio KAOS is a masterpiece. There is a strong Welsh connection to the album. In the last song of the album ~ The tide is turning, he is accompanied by The Pontaddulais Male Voice Choir, which is 4 miles from my village of Gorseinon.

He's got quite a few good albums. Amused To Death is one of my favorites. Also Try to get your hands on the In The Flesh Cd That's a very good album but can be tough to find.

I actually am not very familiare with his solo stuff, only Pink Floyd as a group.

Amused to Death: Former Eagle Don Henley duets on "Watching TV," while Jeff Beck contributes taut, lyrical solos to a number of tracks.

I'd go with 'Pros and Cons' too - there's some great playing by Eric Clapton on that one....and yes, I agree with BRITT - I'd love to see them reform and do something in tribute to Syd - maybe performing the entire 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn' followed by the entire 'Wish You Were Here'. C'mon boys, you KNOW you WANNA do it!

Radio KAOS comes to mind, but it's been awhile......can't recollect why it was particularly good. But Floyd needs Waters and Gilmour, even if they can't stand each other.
