Red Wings finished in 1st place went out in the first round of the playoffs. Pistons finished in 1st and went out in the conference finals. Tigers are in 1st now, will they bring home the World Series? I'm a huge Detroit fan just want some serious opinions on this.

The Tigers are for real, and right now should be the favorite to win the World Series. No one should be surprised if they do. They are playing great baseball.

Chow!!

Considering baseball is a much different sport, I'd say yes.

One thing about The Tigers...they are not the ***** little ****** that the wings are. The wings thought they were god's gift to hockey, and clearly they were not.

The Tigers are playing as a team, whereas the wings were full of themselves.

So thier egos will not get in the way.

So, we're just ruling out the Lions entirely, eh? I think the Tigers will advance to the World Series - they're for real and that pitching staff is fantastic - but they'll lose to the Mets.

hard to say. they need to work a little harder when playing teams like the CWS, Boston, and the Yankees. But I think their pitching gives them alot of hope for the championship. It would be a great thing to see happen, especially since I was 2 years old the last time and don't remember.

Tigers will fall short. They will lose to the White Sox in the playoffs.

Maybe they have to stay hot, because when in the playoffs its gets harder, and if they do make it to the World Series, there going to play a NL team that they haven't played.

It's been "84" since they've last accomplished that and you can bet your last dollar that they are due to win now.
Of course the only downfall to that is, they just built downtown Detroit to look so nice and after they win, Detroit is gonna burn...OH YEAH BUDDY IT'S GONNA BURN...JUST LIKE IN "84" ...I REMEMBER IT LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY, SOMEBODY HELP, I'M ON FIRE AND I HEAR GUNSHOTS, THERES DEAD BODIES EVERYWHERE.....Oh sorry bout that, damn flashbacks won't stay gone. Go Detroit Tigers #1 fan

from my point of view..no. not because i dont like tthe tigers they're one of my fav. teams. it's just none of them have really been in this kind of playoff atmosphere..well pudge yes and maybe kenny rodgers...and maybe even sean casey...but they are just too young right now. they're lineup is great and they're pitching rotation is awesome and that bulpen is crazy. this year no...but expect some kind of dynasty in the next 10 years
