depending on the size and poison of the spider to the size and weakness of the roach...but i have seen roaches being eaten by spiders before...

Spiders generally have specific prey that they tend to eat more often than other insects, but I'm willing to bet that out of the billions of insect/arachnid/bug species out there, that one spider actually does eat roaches.
Now, I wouldn't depend on spiders to solve your roach problem. Only a good mix of borax or some roach baits will solve your roach problem. Besides, most domestic spiders are too small to eat a roach. Orb spiders, house spiders, even a wolf spider might not be able to pierce the husk of a roach.

I am not sure I all depends on the size of the spider. Mostly I thinks spiders eat small insects.
