You may, depending on the size of your tank, quite easily add "plecostimos",they are both bottom and top feeders and keep the tank free of excessive algae growth, they speckled brown shark like looking fish, but quite docile. They behave erracticaliy only when they are cornered(when cleaning the tank),otherwise, they quite frankly couldn't care who else they share the tank with,as long as it's not too confined.Warning,if they're very happy and comfortable, they are able to grow Very large,up to 18 inches long and more!It depends on how you handle the micro-system.Every tank is a living ZEN garden.

We used to have an African catfish...we were never quite sure what species it was exactly, the local aquarium had never seen anything like it before. We had the same mix of fish as you and it never harmed any. Infact it became really tame...it did spend most of it's time at the bottom but in the evening he/she used to do quite an amazing swimming display. Remember though, it does depend on the size of your tank...fish inches, measure the tank all the way round, the body length of your fish shouldn't exceed that measurement.

we have two silver sharks in our six foot tank with neon tetras and have no problems at all the silver sharks are about 8 and a half inches long but they have to have a big tank as they grow quick and love to dart around the tank at high speeds and oftern bump into the end of the tank
oh and we also have a school of six angels that are also quiet large maby 4 and a half inches from nose to fin

There are more than 400 species of pleco. No species of Ancistrus reaches a foot in length. Most average 4" or so and they are great janitors.
Keep in mind that most fish that are bigger have larger mouths and will happily eat any fish that will fit in it.

Bettas and a brilliant sort of styles of gouramis make bubble nests while they're waiting to mate or happy. it could additionally be led to by ability of unfavourable water high quality, low water, or a twisted up clear out. in case you have no bubble nesters enhance the water point and examine the prevalent.

Get a pleco they start off small but ours have now grown to over 12" .They eat alga, but they have been known to kill slower fish like goldfish by accidentally sucking on them, if you have snails they can also kill them. make sure you tank is big enough to hold them when they are fully grown

Plecos (Hypostomus sp., Ancistrus sp., and others) suckermouthed catfish can get to 1' long and longer, and they won't bother other fish (they're herbivores). Just make sure you have a big enough tank.

bala sharks are pretty peaceful but you will need a very large tank since they need to be in groups. Koi are peaceful too, but are obviously not tropical, so they don't count in regards to the question.
