No, most banks don't do it or I wouldn't be asking, You must live in New York, or LA

I have lived in Ohio most of my life and I have exchanged currency here (Columbus) - in fact I have exchanged much weirder currency than GBP (Czech and Spanish).

I would suggest you get out the yellow pages and call first - just go down the banks list, after you call enough of them you are bound to find one. Also try AAA &/or whoever sells American Express traverlers checks.

Any major bank should be able to exchange the money. I hope this helps.

I believe a federal bank can do this. I do not believe a state bank or a savings and loan institution can.

most banks will do a currency exchange. Go to your local branch and you should be alright.

Try a branch of The Travel Authority.
I know there are several of them, particularly in
Cleveland and Cincy.

not all banks exchange foreign currency...try B of A.

try the airport banks. cleveland and cinci are known as international airports, so they'll have banks to exchange currency.
