I am 4 weeks pregnant, I just missed my period and I am cramping a little bit... not as bad as I would with a period, but a discomfort, not even that bad, but I can feel it... has anyone else experienced this, or heard of this?

Yes...i felt the exact same thing and it was nothing to worry about. I'm now 37 weeks with a very healty pregnancy. Not to worry. If you see blood coupled with the cramps, don't hesitate to call your doc.

Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!

I agree with the person above called "ldylili". That book is very helpful.

Also, you should visit the following website:

babycenter.com

It will really help you through out your pregnancy, you can ask the questions you have. If you subscribe to their site, they will send you weekly updates on how you baby is progressing, some side effects as well as some very good tips.

Of course, if the cramping becomes intolerable or if you begin to spot, see a doctor at asap!

Also, if your morning sickness is overwhelming your day to day tasks, your doctor can prescribe you medication specifically for pregnant women with severe sickness. Be aware however, these might make you sleepy if taken too much...
Best of Luck!

It can be. I had some cramping when I was pregnant with my son. But if it becomes severe, make sure to see a doctor. Bad cramps can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy.

sometimes in early pregnancy you might experience cramping, but it really would not hurt to pay a visit to your OB if it continues or worsens.

Also, grab a copy of What to Expect When You Are Expecting. It's handy to have in case you have other questions such as this throughout your pregnancy.

Another suggestion, write down questions you have and take them with you to each doctor visit and take notes as you get your answers. You might experience pregnancy fog and forget important things.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I had cramping right up until 13 weeks, I also had a UTI and my doctor said that could have caused the cramping.

It's common to cramp in the beginning.

If you are having bleeding with the cramping, then you need to go to the Doctors.

Ok ignore the person that said its fine until you start spotting. Spotting isnt a bad thing. It actually quite normal during pregnancy.

it's normal for you to cramp. I had those feelings when I was pregnant. There's nothing to be concerned about. Congratulations!

It's perfectly normal. Your uterus is engorging with blood to help support the project at hand.
