Ah, now you see, the obvious answer is "Yahoo! Answers", but the question is whether this is really a waste of time...
I'm not sure it is, as I get a great deal of fun and satisfaction here, meeting friends, imparting information and learning new things every day. Does that qualify as a "waste of time"? I don't think so.

Just some of the fairly recent movies I've sat through and got absolutely NOTHING for in return. Which I think qualifies as a waste of time. But still, sitting in the dark with my girl, eating vast amounts of bad popcorn just because you're there, and thrilling as the lights go down and the logo comes up, it's still got to be my favourite waste of time...

My favorite way to waste time is to sit on a toilet. Sitting on there,looking at the wall is the best excuse you could do when things seem to be uninteresting for you or let's say you do not feel to grasp any idea to come to your mind. If someone will look for you to have your job done or to do a simple chore perhaps, nobody can take you out if you are in there otherwise they will be in "mess" ,that's what they are scared for. What are you doing in the toilet is a question rarely asked -anything else you will do anyway? Sitting in there having the time to pass is really a waste of time and an inconvenient place to stay. But anyway,it is a waste of time to make a little excuse sometimes doing such weird escape but believe me on the end of your stay at such place, you will realize that most often it is not the time that is wasted but "another thing else" which in fact you will appreciate as it will offer you some comfort at the end. Forgive me for my "stinky" time wasting.Hey, I used to do it when I was quite immature in my thoughts but now no more. Doing it as a habit as a form of malingering is unacceptable though, you have to know your limits.

I think the phrase "wasting time" has a bad rap...to quote Bertrand Russell - "The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time."
Time is all any of us has...and I'll never get the time back I just "wasted" writing this answer...but I'm enjoying it, so it's not wasted time at all. And when I'm aged and ruminating about my life and what I've done with it, I'm not going to look back and see wasted time...I'm going to remember how much time I spent enjoying the time I had.

if you think about it almost every thing we do is a waste of time because will could die at any moment and who cares that we got our nails done or went to work or any thing that we think is so important ..no one,so wasn't it all a waste of time ...life is basically a big waste of time right?..well i love life i really don't feel this way but if you think real hard on it its all worth nothing!!

Yahoo Answers is where I go when I have free time, but I don't think of it as wasting time, I see it more as visiting with friends.

You mean mine or someone else's?
My time is best wasted on filling soda bottles with dry ice and a little water, closing the lid and watching how long it takes to explode. Less water means quicker detonation.
I also like to be the one who sits at green lights while they lay on the horn and then wait until they attempt to go around me before I move.
Yes, it's a little juvenile. So call me a kid at heart.

hanging w/ friends or listening to music.i also like to be on yahoo answers or talking to the person i like.television is also fun when you are watching the right thing. but i like to skate too so i guess you could say i do alot of things to waste time.i also love to bug my siblings.thats fun.but i can never think of any pranks so if ya have some email them to me at sk8great13@yahoo.com

Or reading, but that can't be considered a waste of time, except when I should be doing other things instead.
