As others have said, yes, it is. Of course, it is an insect, and insects are animals.

According to Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia, a mosquito is an insect. BTW: I'm just making a recommendation so that other people won't "come down on you" too hard: Although the phrasing on your question didn't bother me because I understood that a point was being made, other people may not "see it that way." I've been on here since 10-06-06. There have been people that have really "ticked" some of these people off because of what they do or how they phrase stuff. The person gets talked about all over the site.

A mosquito is an insect, and the last I checked, insects are considered animals, so yes, a mosquito is an animal.

A Mosquito (or Culicidae) is a soft-bodied insect. The term animal usually refers to mammals, but some people generalize and call all critters "animals".

Of course! It's not a vegetable, so it's an animal. Seriously, insects belong to the animal kingdom.

mosquito = insect.
insect = animal.
so if m = i and i = a. then m = a.
therefore... mosquito = animal.
