Yes, they are definitely expecting positive comments or don't care at all.
Either they're bored and wants to ask a stupid question and see people's reactions...then laugh
Or either they are egotistical and wants good comments to make them feel proud.
Or either they want positive comments to make them feel better because they're not hot/cute/sexy

They don't really want the truth... but think they are hot/cute and just want everyone else to notice them. All i notice when people do that is how conceited they are.
